Some help along
the way:

"The quality of life in your community depends in a very real way on you as
a volunteer, on your personal qualities and
on your competency
as a helper."

— Dr. John Stewart
(Trained Volunteers
throughout New Brunswick between 1948-1955)

Looking for
volunteer opportunities? Check out the

Virtual Volunteer Fair.

When looking for a volunteer job, it is recommended that you reflect on your interests and educate yourself about what volunteer opportunities are available. When you find a place you would like to volunteer:

  • Ask about written volunteer job descriptions, length of commitment, and training opportunities

  • Expect to be interviewed to determine if you are appropriate for the position

  • Remember, you will be expected to complete the assignment you have accepted and perform the job to the best of your ability. Just as you are investing your time in the organization, the organization is investing time and resources in you
